LED street lights are alternative products to high-pressure sodium lamps, and they have the following advantages:
1.Directional light. The inherent characteristic of LED street light poles is their directional light, which eliminates light diffusion and ensures lighting efficiency.
2.High light efficiency. LED street lights have unique secondary optical design that directs the light to the desired illumination area, further increasing lighting efficiency and achieving energy saving goals. Currently, LED light efficiency has reached 100lm/w, with significant room for development, potentially reaching a theoretical value of 200lm/w. Compared to high-pressure sodium lamps, LED street lights generally have higher overall light efficiency.
3.High color rendering index. LED street lights have a much higher color rendering index than high-pressure sodium lamps. The color rendering index of high-pressure sodium lamps is only around 23, while LED street lights have a color rendering index of 7 or higher. From a visual psychological perspective, at the same brightness level, the average illuminance of LED street lights can be reduced by more than 30% compared to high-pressure sodium lamps.
4.Low light decay. LED street lights have minimal light decay, while high-pressure sodium lamps experience significant light decay, decreasing by over 30% within a year. Therefore, LED street lights can be designed with lower power consumption compared to high-pressure sodium lamps.
5.Energy-saving. LED street lights come with automatic energy-saving devices that can maximize power reduction while meeting varying lighting requirements at different times, saving electricity.
6.Relatively safe to use. LEDs are low-voltage devices, and the voltage required to drive a single LED is safe. With each individual LED having a power of 1 watt, LED street lights provide a safer power source compared to using high-voltage power supplies, making them particularly suitable for public places.
7.Easy to maintain. Each individual LED chip is small in size, allowing for various shapes to be designed and is suitable for changing environments.
